Enough to Make You Blush Book Review

After dragging my feet all year, I finally got to purchasing my copy of Enough to Make You Blush by Princess Kali. Princess Kali is a former dominatrix who published this book as a comprehensive guide for erotic humiliation in its various forms and how to incorporate that into your life whether it is through play scenes or just something to try in the bedroom with a romantic partner. As someone involved in kink for several years it is a great reference to inform you on how to negotiate boundaries and safety plans with a play partner to ensure both of you are protected in the case of unintended harm or crises during a scene. I also like how she breaks down different forms of humiliation, with embarrassment being on the lighter side of the spectrum while degradation is on the more extreme side.

What I did want to highlight for the embarrassment lovers are the chapters she dedicates to nudity. I'm currently working on another Immodest Collection anthology and hit a wall recently with one story. Enough to Make You Blush breaks down all the ways you can incorporate nudity with humiliation and dives into the psychological elements, such as the difference between the presence or absence of an audience with nudity as well as the power dynamics when someone nude is paired with someone who is clothed. When you rope (no pun intended) this in with her other chapters on humiliation such as verbal play, teasing, financial domination, or even chastity play, this book is an excellent source for different forms of embarrassing situations to help you think outside the box.

Despite talking about shame and embarrassment, this book does a great job of normalizing erotic humiliation as a kink. It does not act as a gatekeeper for what is and is not acceptable and contains personal accounts from other kinksters' experiences with erotic humiliation. I know personally for me when I identified "embarrassed nude females" as a kink I did struggle with it as I felt like I was twisted or abnormal in some way. I also wanted to know what it was about this kink that clicked for me. Most of the introspection and processing was done on my own, but I would have loved this book had it been around because I needed to hear that I'm not the only one who finds erotic humiliation sexy. I've recently had followers talk with me about their interest in exploring embarrassment and have asked me where they could find more information. Unfortunately there isn't much out there beyond deviant art and a few specific forums. Enough to Make You Blush is a much needed blessing and while it doesn't specifically cover "embarrassed nude females," it is still a key text that you should check out as you explore your own relationship with erotic embarrassment. Also for the embarrassed panty lovers, there is a section exploring panty play and humiliation as well that you'll enjoy ;).

Ghosthunters embarrassed nude female clip

My friend Jordana Leigh just posted another clip I helped write. This theme involved ghosts and she and actor, Anastasia Rose did an amazing job wrapping in a lot of embarrassed nude female tropes. The story involves two Ghostchasers who are shooting another live broadcast in a haunted house and as you can tell from the image things take an unsettling turn for them.

Not only do you get two women stripped through supernatural circumstances, but if you love the girly panty embarrassment fetish (raises hand) then it's just icing on the cake. There are often panties involved in Jordana's clips but it is a special situation when the actor is wearing panties like Anastasia's.

Of course I can't ignore the final panel in this screencap image. As you can see it gets a little racy as the ghost has a dirty mind. Not everyone likes the graphic scenes mixed with their embarrassment but I like incorporating soft and hardcore erotic elements in embarrassment stories because it unlocks another vulnerable side to the individual. It's a psychological stripping that brings additional humiliation to someone who is already in their birthday suit.

The Big Book of Submission, Volume 2 published by Cleis Press

This was a really fun anthology to submit to (tee hee). It was a shorter format than I had ever been used to which meant writing a full embarrassment story that I take a longer time building up in order to make the loss of status that much more enjoyable for the reader. What did I learn? A LOT. This story forced me to focus a lot on the senses. As a result, it's a more stripped down version of what you might have read from me before but I'm very proud of this work. Reading this story makes me crave sex, not just for the physical gratification but for the intimacy of having a willing partner. One thing that gets missed in play scenes is the laughter and joy that comes from enacting our kinks with someone we love.

Our kinks develop over time and for most people there is a sense of alienation we feel when we think it won't be accepted. Early in my developing kinky interests, I had what felt like a unique fetish that was as embarrassing to talk about to partners as the actual kink itself: Embarrassed Nude Females. To be clear, the embarrassment can apply to someone of any gender identity, enf is just my own favorite kink. A more broad term is "forced stripping."

If you're involved in any erotic art, you may have stumbled on the acronym #enf along with a picture of a naked woman posing with a look of shock on her face as she tries to cover herself. She might be wearing underwear at which that is Embarrassed Underwearclad Females. The fetish is a callback to the slapstick era of comedy in which Benny Hill would accidentally strip a woman down to her lingerie, pinup models would blush as their skirts got caught in a doorway, and of course there was Marilyn Monroe in the Seven Year Itch. A vacuum sucks up a dress, a sword slices a belt holding up a pair of trousers, or maybe an unsuspecting person is caught naked taking a shower. The result is the same, a blushing face and an attempt to remain modest when the person is caught in a moment of vulnerability.

So what is it about this fetish that makes it so popular on Deviant Art? How many times can someone be stripped naked before it becomes boring? It depends on the kinkster. For me, my panty fetish always kept the embarrassment kink interesting. I always felt that embarrassing underwear, whether that's heart print panties on a tough biker, a skimpy thong on a conservatively dressed professor, or "granny" panties on a young adult, panty play gives every old embarrassing situation a unique touch. I go deeper into this in my book The Immodest Collection: Stories of Exposure and Shame, but I think what makes it click is that a person's choice of underwear gives us a subconscious look into their personality. They made a choice to wear the garment under their clothes, they just didn't expect to show it off to anyone.

What also makes embarrassment fun, it still plays with power dynamics and can be accessible to anyone. Embarrassment and being stripped is a literal '"loss of power" and any willing partner can have fun becoming submissive as they shed their armor. someone dressed in a police uniform can try to boss you around, but it's a different story once they lose the uniform and suddenly feel self conscious about being exposed. Does this seem corny? It probably is, there is a camp element to this kink that makes it hard for everyone to get into, so make it accessible for you. What embarrasses you? What makes you blush?

I could write about embarrassment all day, but it's a lot harder to do that when collaborating with professional fetish models like my friend Jordana Leigh. Jordana and I met online about a year ago and she was nice enough to let me send a script to her. I was so excited to have her adapt one of my stories, not realizing that shooting enf was a LOT different from writing it. Also new to me was having to write stories within a budget, the comfort levels of the model, and quick shooting schedules (I do not know how Jordana does it, she makes about two videos a week).

Instead of taking a month to write an in depth story, I have maybe two days to write a quick embarrassment concept that is shootable for Jordana and that process has been really fun. The collaboration we did on The Evaporator (with the sexy Karly Salinas and Pisces) started as a simple superhero idea I thought would be fun because it's easy to do quick edits to make it look like her clothes disappear.

This is not at all a new concept, but with the superhero element we have an exciting factor in this embarrassing scenario. Superheroes are often believed to be invincible and the loss of Karly's uniform literally strips her of her powers. As she tries to cover herself from being seen on live television, there is something sexy about seeing what we're not supposed to see. What I also like about embarrassment is that it is softcore fun that any couple can engage in. As mentioned before, embarrassment is about the revealing of secrets so enjoy exploring them between the two of you.

Embarrassing poses

A few days ago I started to teach myself how to draw in hopes to provide more content on my deviant art and twitter in the hopes it might bring in more readers. So far it's been a fun exercise. I always admired cartooning growing up as a kid and never thought I'd dip my toes into drawing erotic art. Of course, I never thought I'd write it and here I am several years later working on my second book. The image below, while a work in progress, still managed to excite me physically and mentally. It led me to thinking what it is that visual artists rely on to signify embarrassment and humiliation? In this case, it's the legs, squeezed together and bent at an inward angle that best signifies her dissatisfaction in being exposed. The legs close, as an attempt to cover herself despite being useless. The skirt around her ankles, acting as a bind is important too, it tells how her dignity was lost, sliding down her legs and revealing that which modesty tells us to hide. With the skirt around her ankles she is trapped, paralyzed as she stands there for others to drink in her body. The mouth and eyes were something I would liked to have changed. I didn't capture the shock in the eyes, wide and with terror. Her mouth while formed in a shape that expresses shock, isn't quite as horrified as I'd like. I think it's these details to the body showing embarrassment that are why I'm not solely an underwear fetishist. I do enjoy dressing my partners in various kinds, but the body formation of arms over breasts and sex, legs buckled, mouth agape in horror, that truly speaks to my fascination and attraction to the embarrassment fetish. Lastly, there is the hairstyle. I'm still working on hairstyles but it reminds me of a conversation I had with fetish director and model, Jordanna Leigh (find her work here: http://jordana-rama.com/verify). For enf lovers, the character being seen as dominant or "bitchy" is always important. More times than not this involves them wearing conservative business clothes. This way, when they are stripped, the humiliation is more potent, more status being lost with the revealing of the persons' body. This is why I chose the hairstyle in this image, it represents a classy, proper look that a woman might wear to a meeting or job interview, front bangs pulled back and pinned up in a neat bun. Once I finished with this piece I already began imagining who this woman was and what led to her embarrassing situation. Did she deserve it or was she the victim of some bully who is about to get her comeuppance? Maybe that's up for you to decide.
