Featured Artist: Biker

It had to have been around 2004. I was still developing in terms of my own sexuality and what I knew that I liked. So far, I knew that was women in their underwear. I can't remember how, but I ended up on a website called Writings of Leviticus. It had two types of stories, Bondage, and Enforced nudity. It was here that I found a comic strip story involving a maid whose dress was sucked up by an evil vacuum The artist, Biker. Seeing the maid's black uniform sucked off her body, leaving her in panties and a garter belt left me aroused in a way i had not experienced. From that day, I had a name for what kink that turned me on the most, it was not just women in their underwear, it was women left embarrassed after losing their clothes. Enforced nudity, or embarrassed nude females was the internet rabbit hole that would have a lasting impact on my life, going from just a fetish to my own exploration in the kink community and finally an erotica writer. Throughout that time, one person I would continue to see, whose work I continue to admire is Biker. This was such a great interview and I appreciated how vulnerable Biker was willing to be in answering my questions. Being that ENF is a non-consensual genre, I too had struggled with writing these stories and so I appreciate the reflection that Biker has when he makes his own artwork. Enjoy!

Autobiography

The pseudonym "Biker" was adopted by me back in 1997 as a net name for an ENF forum called Byron's Stripped naked forum. It's long gone now but birthed several like-minded forums of that genre, including Indian Outlaw's Stripping Naked Discussion Board, which is still running to this day! I'd spend many a happy hour there reading the stories and such and then one day someone posted a comment saying it was a shame no one did ENF photos shoots or even drew artwork along those lines. I'd been drawing this sort of thing since my teens so I sorta stepped into that gap when I posted my very first Jenny drawing in March of that year from a story I had written, which, as it happens, was also my first ever written story. That was my first artistic step on this path.
However, the first real step began waaaay back in 1975 when I was a 13 year schoolboy with a crush on my geography teacher. One fateful day she happened to be walking down a flight of stairs towards me and the wind whipped open her denim buttoned skirt, showing me a gorgeous expanse of her left thigh. I was blown away by that sight, and it was the catalyst that started me down this route. When I got home from school, I tried to draw what I had seen but sadly I wasn't able to do that moment any justice whatsoever. However, I did find I didn't have to replicate it because I could draw ANY scenario I wanted to. And that's how it all started for me.

I wish I could say it's been an easy path, but guilt and dark thoughts that I was somehow perverted wracked me for years, that is until I got online and found out there were others like me, and along the way I learned that my stuff was so pathetically tame in comparison. That discovery was very liberating.

I'm now 57 and married to my very own pin-up who is also the love of my life (she knows what I draw and is totally supportive of it). We live in a small cabin in the woods (with wifi) in rural Normandy, France. I'm a carpenter by trade but nowadays I'm fortunate enough to be able to make a modest living from my artwork. Something I never dreamed of being able to do. Funny old world, eh?

Q -How long have you been doing sketches?

A - For as long as I can remember I've been drawing. As a child, my mother would encourage my brother and I to amuse ourselves by drawing and I'd create a cross section of fantastical islands with secret military bases built into the mountain side with underwater submarine pens. I'd spend hours doing this. So drawing had always been a big part of my childhood. It also kept me out from under mum's feet. Clever lady.

Q - When did you first discover embarrassed nude females as a fetish and what made it resonate with you?

A - It's not so much the nude aspect that gets me, it's her simply losing some of her clothes or unintentionally showing off too much skin that does it. Like Daleksupreme's (DS) Q&A answer, Benny Hill has to be right up there at the top of the list for influences, and there was always an innocence about the sketches Benny Hill did. He was the proverbial schoolboy, with humour to match, and there was no harm or malice towards the damsel in distress, not even implied. Like DS, I later discovered Carrie in the Mayfair magazine, but unlike DS, I prefered Don Lawrences's version of Carrie. Don Lawrence also drew The Trigan Empire as well as Storm. Heroic characters and not a bit like Carrie but the artwork was amazing! I love looking at good artwork and his was exceptional. There was another character who appeared in a daily comic strip in The Daily Mirror (UK newspaper) called Amanda. I fell in love with her and would use those drawings as the basis for my own scribblings.

What made it resonate? Maybe seeing my geography teacher's silky thigh that day and her frantic need to cover it back up before any other hormone-fueled teenage schoolboys saw it. I'm convinced that there is a certain moment in a person's life when they become hard-wired to a certain "thing", whether it's a particular fetish, hobby, passion or lifestyle. Others glide over those moments while others might settle upon them and make their home there. Mine was seeing an unintentionally exposed thigh... I've been a leg man ever since.

Q - What inspired you to draw ENF?

A - Ever read a book or comic or seen a film when the damsel gets into a situation and the writer/artist/director chooses a safe option to allow her an escape, but your immature schoolboy humour wished they'd gone along a more "naughty" route and said damsel loses her skirt in the process? THAT'S what inspired me to draw ENF. Disatisfaction at how a scene ended when it could have been sooo much better.

I remember watching a TV show back in the late 70's called The New Avengers featuring Joanna Lumley as Purdey. One episode had her running around London wearing only silky pajamas whilst escaping from thugs with guns. In one scene she's cornered in a shop and posed as a shop maniquinn hoping they wouldn't spot her... until her pajama bottoms fell down around her ankles. That was one of the rare moments a TV script went along the lines I wanted it to go. So Purdey hiked up her jimjams and proceeded to knock the crap out of the thug, then miracles of miracles her bottoms fell down AGAIN. I was on the edge of my seat by now... until she took the belt out of the unconscious thug's trousers and used it to hold up her own. I felt cheated at that solution. So near.. yet so far. My own version would have had her running around the rest of the show bottomless, possibly without her underwear too. :D So I drew ENF because no one else was doing the stuff I wanted to read/see/watch.

Q - There are many fun embarrassing situations to tell stories with, how do you come up with fresh ideas to avoid rehashing old ideas?

A - I guess I never really grew out of that schoolboy type humour. So whenever I watch a DVD or read a story and said damsel escapes with her clothes intact, I dream about what could have happened and go down that route. There's also nothing wrong with rehashing old ideas - Just file off the serial numbers and make them your own.

I've been drawing this stuff and posting it online since 1997 and I follow a lot of artists on DeviantArt and many other online sources that inspire me for either a one page gag, or sometimes a whole multi-page story. For example, over at my website (http://www.bikersplacetwo.com/page01.html) I'm currently working on a story featuring Ashley. What started as a simple one-page cartoon is now up to page 26. This story was inspired by my webmaster, Torben, who wrote a short story of just a couple of paragraphs, but it opened the floodgates for an idea and it took off. I'm just hanging on and enjoying the ride with it. Ashley's scooter broke down at the roadside so she resorted to flashing the passing traffic in the hope that some kindly knight in shining armour might stop and assist her. But she got arrested instead by a big blonde lady cop who isn't taking any lip from her. Once that snowball starts rolling and gaining momentum it's easy to nudge it in the direction I want it to go. I have several more pages to go with this, another 15 at least.

Q- You've been a popular artist in the ENF scene before spaces like DeviantArt were created to host its art. What have you noticed about the genre's growing popularity and why do you suppose it isn't a "mainstream" fetish?

Funnily enough I HAVE noticed the popularity of the ENF genre. When people start faving a drawing of mine and add it to a folder titled "Damsels in Distress" or "ENF", I realize that there is a genre there that is expanding. Years ago such a folder was a rare find indeed, so it's great to see so much more artwork and photography of this theme out there. Why it's not a more mainstream fetish I don't know. Maybe the younger generations need to have more Benny Hill in their lives? But each to his own, I suppose.

I remember once reading a fetish someone had for seeing a hint of petticoat peeping out from under a hemline, another was for women wearing glasses. I'm rather envious of those folk, because it's something so common they get to see it almost daily. Me, I have to wait for a breeze in the right direction and a passing geography teacher. I do hope the trend for more ENF continues, it's a light subject and not at all nasty like certain other more dark fetishes. Again, each to their own.

Q- ENF seems to have been used in a lot of British humor sketches. What do you suppose has been the origin for this style of comedy?

A - Saucy Seaside postcards has got to be a huge influence on those originators back in the day, the busty blonde in the tight dress popping a button or two fuels the imagination far more than any porn centrefold with her legs up behind her ears ever did... at least for me. Imagination is everything. The Carry On films did a lot to encourage this saucy humour and growing up in the 70's and what was on TV at the time influenced a whole generation. In my opinion, if you can mix humour and sexiness into something then you're on a good path. People basically want to laugh and if it gets them a bit steamy as well, then so much the better.

Q- I also struggled with shame and guilt when I got interested in ENF. Which leads me to ask how you moved past your guilt?

I honestly think the "guilt" is a VERY healthy aspect in this fetish, it means we actually care about the characters we create and it shows a certain respect for and who they represent. A woman. If all we did is put them through hell and not bat an eyelid, that says a lot about the psyche of the author I think. Sorry if that sounds a bit judgy. I do look at ENF photos and artwork and if, to my eyes, there's even an element of cruelty in the content it puts me right off, which is why I suppose I put such a healthy dollop of humour into my artwork.

Short answer. Getting over any guilt is a personal journey, but for me finding I wasn't alone in this fetish was the biggest step and then finding the content of my own drawings wasn't as bad as some was the second.

Featured artist: Dalek Supreme!

Dalek Supreme was created in a Parallel universe where his Dad, Davros had an idea of creating a
super race devoid of pity for fabric. As a result fabric became rare enough to be used as currency.
Ultimately Davros was put into forced retirement, and Dalek Supreme settled down with Mrs
Supreme to rule the known universe as Emperor. His Peace was occasionally troubled by the
Gallifreyan Time Lord the Doctor! In this Universe the Doctor had always been female and tried to
overthrow the fabric based economy and return to the days of excessive female fashion houses.
She was always thwarted until that fateful day when she regenerated as a male. The idea of a
Naked Male Doctor caused Dalek Supreme to flee his universe to ours where he found Earth... a
treasure trove of unlimited fabric that could be exterminated one bit at a time.

Dalek Supreme has been creating poser ENF art for over ten years. I first was introduced through poser art through the enf stories "Joanna C Mutchmore goes to Cyber Hell" by Morphy and "Particles of Chaos" by Moses3000 (you can find both stories here and here ). Both artists hadn't created any new content but I loved the way poser art captured a realistic style while also maintaining the comedic aspect of enf. Enter Dalek Supreme and Emperor comics. The first story he had published staring Debbie McClintoc was great in that it was a comic that took its time building up the stripping elements to the very end. Dalek has created multiple comics that you can find on his DA page and has been so supportive of other members of the ENF community. I had a great conversation with him about the ENF genre and his approach to writing ENF stories. I was floored when he created these two poser pics incorporating both volumes of the Immodest Collection.

 1. When did you first discover embarrassed nude females as a fetish and what made it resonate
with you?

Well it was of course Benny Hill. It was watched by my father with my mother “tisking” every
time a girl was revealed in her underwear. For some reason the embarrassment the girls
showed appealed. I think it was because they seemed vulnerable and sexy at the same time...
and then cross... in particular it was the brief period of time between when the dress had been
ripped off and when they noticed they were half naked. They were carrying on without
realising their state of dress. It’s soft porn of course and no one gets hurt except for pride, and
Pride can always do with a bit of exposure.

Also Carrie in Mayfair magazine drawn by Steve Kingston. She always lost her clothes in the
most wonderful ways possible. I did some Carrie tributes and Steve was kind enough to say
that they captured the essence of his gal. That was really kind of him.

2. I remember you being one of the earlier enf artists utilizing poser art. how did you get into
using poser as a medium?

Morphy. He was the inspiration. His series Joanna Muchmore was so good and such a labour
of love. And Moses3000, his work was brilliant. Morphy was kind enough to point me in the
direction of Poser and explain how this stuff worked. He was a great bloke and really
encouraging and I hope he is still out there somewhere appreciating what he started. Then I
found Biker... Good grief the grumpy old pencil head is good at what he does... I hope he
doesn’t read this... praise goes straight to his head.

3. It's hard for any artist for fit in time to consistently put out content, you'd been making pdfs of
comics for quite a while. what has that been like and what did you learn over time as you
continued to make comics?

Yea time is hard especially as on a good day I may be able to find time to make 4-5 pages.
The story evolves in my head and then I compose the actual script at the end when compiling
the comic. What I learnt was... to manage expectations. For a time I did one comic a month and I was
also editing, compiling and scriptwriting for Bluetakes Comics. It was too much and I was
working full time as well. I wasn’t being paid and have never asked to be for the comics as I
do it for fun, but the monthly cycle and trying to meet what I perceived as expectations of the
audience was really hard and I had to stop that routine or else I would stop altogether. Now I
do stuff when I feel inspired rather than just trying to hit a deadline.

What else did I learn? I hate Yahoo and Yahoo’s abandonment of Groups and Yahoo Mail!
Also I learnt to help people. I love it when new ENF artist appear on the scene and try to
encourage them. Morphy encouraged me so much... I try to pass that on.

3a.  You mentioned hating yahoo's changes, before yahoo was the only mainstream place to find ENF content in yahoo groups. what have you noticed different between yahoo groups and DA?

I’m concerned by the changes DA are doing with Eclipse as although DA could do with an update they run the risk of ruining what’s good for the sake of trying to make money. The black or white colour scheme is very hard on the eyes and notifications and comments are a complete mess. No doubt they will sort it out. My simplistic view is reproduce what you have first then add new features. They are doing it back to front! Lol!

3b. What did you find challenging as a scriptwriter for ENF for stories involving real models? I also write stories for a fetish model who does ENF clips and I learned early on that the silly-factor is limited with real life actors.

Yes, real life models can be a challenge. Really it depends on if the model “gets it” and understands the fun and the suspension of reality. ENF is certainly not a genre restricted to men and some models love to do ENF as it’s a breath of fresh air and requires them to act. ENF also has an element of burlesque tease. It’s the slow reveal of the girl that is the hook... it’s the performance that’s important.

4. One thing that I find challenging as an ENF writer is thinking of new embarrassing situations.
What is your process in coming up with stories?

Well some times you see something and think that would be a funny situation, or what would
happen if... or part of a sketch show on TV where you can take a situation further than the
original writers. At other times you get a suggestion from someone that triggers an idea that’s
why feedback is so important. Also you have to play with the world a bit. ENF won’t function in the real world. Clothing does not tear in the way it should and people get embarrassed and cover up within seconds. So lets suspend reality and have fun. I like the suspension of reality... the girls lose clothing and don’t notice or have to carry on regardless. If you make the world less real you can have more fun.

5. As someone who's been part of the community for a while, what have been your impressions
on the enf community and how it responded to your work?

The ENF community is Brilliant! Some of the best and most generous Men and Women and
“Others” (as DA calls gender fluid folks) you could want to meet. They are kind and
encouraging and supportive. Who could ask for more? How have people responded? Wonderful. Its funny I was saying to one of my mates Memfic only the other day about this. Most of us artists love feedback and about 20ish of my 1000 or so watchers comment. Every comment is gold. It’s nice to know you are doing things people like and that they have fun reading my work.

6. Many of your protagonists are either in the navy or policewomen. What was the inspiration for
those tropes?

I love women in uniform. A proper smart uniform. Whether in a suit in the office or in a
profession. Some of Benny Hills sexiest girls were in the traditional British WPC uniform, as
was my favourite Carrie Strip. The Navy, Army, Air force and Police uniforms gives one the chance to put protagonists anywhere doing anything... they start always prim and smart and end up naked and embarrassed having to complete the job as that is their task or mission. They have no choice
but to carry on regardless. They also as very smart dignified professional women have further
to fall into embarrassment. It makes my life easier. Think about it:a woman in a bikini gets stripped she covers up and runs off. End. A Female Navy officer has to retrieve a special document. Her skirt gets ripped off by accident... she has to continue she has no choice and like a beautiful present being
unwrapped she keeps going and gradually is reduced to her underwear. Then her knickers get
snagged on the way out... she has been successful but has left a trail of clothing behind. End.
Which is the more fun?
